Wallace's historic Jameson Saloon has performed
heroically as a brothel, a drinking place and an eatery through floods, fires,
natural disasters, and the thankfully more frequent, the good times that
checker Silver Valley history. The Jameson was restored ground-up in 1989
during the filming of Michael Cimino's Heaven's Gate movie, and featured again
in the movie Dante's Peak.
Art and Carol Stephan purchased the Jameson in 2005
and have returned this splendid dinery to its glory days, offering, in addition
to a broad selection of hard-to-find libations, the best "surf and turf" menu
in the Pacific Northwest, at family prices. Dine in elegance and luxury, taking
a step back in time to the era of steam railroads, Cunard and White Star
liners, to a time when the phrase "sound as a Dollar" meant, "good as gold."
Taste North Idaho's best, and leave with silver in your pocket.
